Advanced Editor Tools (previously TinyMCE Advanced) enables advanced features for the default visual editor in WordPress.

Initial Configuration
Settings > Advanced Editor Tools (TinyMCE Advanced)
- Depending on what editor you’re using, click either the Block Editor or Classic Editor tab.
- I recommend dragging Font Family to the Unused Buttons section because using too many fonts on a site can slow it down so it’s best to just not have that option. Let your theme dictate the fonts for a consistent look and experience.
- Drag buttons to add or take away from the toolbar as needed. Beware that too many choices can wreck a site so exercise restraint.
- Default settings for other sections work well, but configure as needed.
- Click Save Changes.
Usage
The new toolbar appears when you edit a page or post. For example, the screenshot below shows the addition of a Font Sizes dropdown menu and a Table button.
